Our Story - From Grassroots to Global
Kyoto Network was founded on a simple but powerful belief. The belief that sustainability must go beyond promises. It must be measurable, transparent, and inclusive.
What began as a series of grassroots climate initiatives in Europe & Africa has evolved into a global platform that connects governments, businesses, and innovators to design, finance, and deliver real climate impact.
From the Great Gum Belt in Sudan, where 125 million acacia trees are restoring degraded lands and creating livelihoods, to KyoGreen: our clean cooking, biogas, and agroforestry initiative transforming communities across East Africa. Kyoto Network is redefining what practical climate action looks like.
Our work extends beyond trees and technology. It is about people. It is about empowering communities, supporting women and youth, and building climate programs that create shared prosperity.
We are proud members of the ISCC and are working hard to be at the intersection of nature, technology, and finance, advancing verified climate projects that meet UN SDGs and align with Article 6 of the Paris Agreement. Through satellite monitoring, IoT systems, blockchain-backed traceability, and independent verification.
Our Mission
To accelerate the global transition toward sustainability by developing measurable, verifiable and technology-driven solutions that restore ecosystems, empower communities, and support the green economy.
"We exist to bridge the gap between climate ambition and on-the-ground impact, transforming bold sustainability goals into measurable outcomes that benefit both people and the planet."
